Adaptation of the double-rail automatic irrigation system to a composting plant

Introduction

A client needed to implement a system that would allow controlled and uniform water distribution within their composting facility. The objective was to achieve optimal conditions for the decomposition and maturation of the stored material. Both dryness and excess water negatively affect this process. Smart Sowing adapted the mobile irrigation trolleys of its SRB system to the plant’s infrastructure. Their integration into the SCADA control and management system has made it possible to achieve the desired outcome.

Smart Sowing has adapted its SRB – Automatic Double-Rail Irrigation System – to a new application: a composting plant.

Efficiency: The composting process requires precise moisture control to ensure microbial activity and maintain optimal conditions for decomposition and maturation. The mobile irrigation trolleys of the SRB system guarantee a uniform supply of water and leachates.
